Evangelism Handbookis a thorough guide to the daily ministry of sharing Christ, showing particular concern about how the Western Church practices evangelism its failure to reach the hardcore unchurched and its trend of losing young people faster than it can win them. The author organizes his research and experience in effective modern evangelism into four clear and actionable categories: Biblical(with chapters on Jesus, Paul, Acts), Spiritual(the Holy Spirit, prayer, and other disciplines), Intentional(leadership, creativity, worship), and Missional(church planting, reaching the unchurched).

By:"Greg Stier"
Published on 2015-09-10 by BookBaby

Youth ministry with a kick! The strong and spicy heat of the gospel is the secret to effective and exciting ministry—just look at the early Church! Gospel advancement was at the heart of the early believers’ discipleship, and the book of Acts gives us a vibrant picture of God’s plan to use us to build His kingdom. In Gospelize Your Youth Ministry, Greg Stier unpacks the model found in the book of Acts, unveiling the key ingredients present within the early Church that fueled its vibrancy, spiritual depth and exponential growth. Today, youth leaders can blend these same basic ingredients together—customized to their own context and style—to create a gospelized youth ministry that results in dynamic kingdom growth. Have you ever read the book of Acts and wondered, “Why not here? Why not now? Why not me?” If you haven’t asked yourself those questions, you should! You have the same mission, the same gospel message and the same Holy Spirit living inside you, so there’s no reason you can’t have the same results! Learn how to put the same focus and effort into making and multiplying disciples as the early Church, using the gospel as the kick. Move your ministry from meeting-driven to mission-driven, from routine to transformational. Discover how to nurture the transformational advancement of the gospel both in and through your students. Then watch your youth group grow in ways you never imagined, both spiritually and numerically! Spice up your youth ministry and (re)discover the joy, excitement and transformation you’ve been longing to see—and that Jesus promised! Once you get a taste, nothing else will satisfy.

Published on 2009-05-01 by Gospel Light Publications

The message of Power Evangelism has been embraced around the world, and the book that started it all has become a classic, with more than one million sold. In 2006, Christianity Today named it one of the 50 most significant Christian books to be published in the last 50 years. This revised and updated edition describes the releasing of God’s power through signs and wonders to refresh, renew, heal and equip His people. Drawing from the teaching of the New Testament and with illustrations from his own experience, Vineyard leader John Wimber persuades the reader to “yield control of our lives to the Holy Spirit.” Though Wimber died in 1997, his teaching continues to spread throughout the Vineyard movement, through the broader renewal movement and to Christians across the globe, even those who do not consider themselves Charismatic. Co-author Kevin Springer—also a Vineyard pastor—has found that in the years since its first publication, Power Evangelism has only grown, and the results continue to be explosive. This edition includes a chapter-by-chapter study guide and reflects changes Springer and other power evangelism practitioners have made in presentation—not in content—for readers in the new millennium.

This new volume in the award-winning Encountering Mission series is for current and future missionaries. It provides practical guidance regarding getting ready for the mission field and the realities of life on the field. The authors are well qualified to write such a manual, each having served as a missionary for more than twenty years and each having taught missions in seminary. The authors begin by examining the contemporary context for missions, including the recognition that the world's mission fields are in constant and often rapid change. They then discuss aspects of preparing oneself for the mission field, beginning with home-front preparations and moving to on-the-field preparations. The final section deals with practical issues and challenges of missionary life.

The Disciple III Remember Who You Are: Study Manual combines direction and information enabling study of the text – the Bible. Two titles in the commentary section of the manual reflect ideas central to the prophets and Paul’s letters. “The Word of the Lord” picks up a familiar phrase from the prophets – a clear statement of their calling: The spoke (and speak) for God. Each member of the group needs a study manual and a Bible. The Bible is the text for the study and the study manual will guide group members in their study and preparation for the weekly group session. The study manual also includes suggestions for individual research and study-related activities. Space is provided for taking notes while reading Scripture, for recording thoughts and questions arising out of daily study, and for notes during the weekly group session. The titles of the sessions along with theme words and theme verses, and major persons, events, and topics will set the sequence of the biblical story in the minds of the participants. The principal Scripture for each session follows the chronological movement of the biblical story. Disciple III Remember Who You Are is the third study in the four-phase DISCIPLE program. The driving idea in this study is the connection between memory and identity as the people of God. The word You in the title is meant to be heard both in its singular form (the individual) and its plural form (the community). We are a community of memory. Participants in this thirty – two week study will read the major and minor Old Testament prophets, with the exception of Daniel, and will read the thirteen Letters traditionally attributed to Paul. To establish the historical context in which the prophets spoke for God, daily reading assignments draw also on the books of Deuteronomy through Chronicles. Several themes weave their way through the study – the call to remember; the call to repentance; the need for renewed vision; and the place of community. The prophets and Paul are continually calling hearers and readers back to their God and to a sense of who they are as a people “set apart”. Commitment and Time Involved 32 week study Three and one-half to four hours of independent study each week (40 minutes daily for leaders and 30 minutes daily for group members) in preparation for weekly group meetings. Attendance at weekly 2.5 hour meetings

Book The Christian Writer's Manual of Style PDF Free

By:"Robert Hudson"
Published on 2016-08-30 by Zondervan

The standard style guide of the Christian publishing industry, The Christian Writer’s Manual of Style, 4th Edition, compiled by veteran Zondervan editor Robert Hudson, contains clear guidance on style questions related to religious writing, including many topics not addressed in other references or online. Nearly half of this fourth revision is made up of new material, including information about turning blogs into books, the effects of digital media on writing, “adverbial doubles,” “vanishing accents,” word-choice strategies, endorser guidelines, and much more. It also contains an all-new “Word List” which makes up more than a third of the book. The most needful information remains—entries on capitalization, abbreviation, citations, fictional dialogue, and more—but it has all been updated to keep pace with changes in English language usage. This fourth edition also corresponds with The Chicago Manual of Style, 16th Edition (2010), though it isn’t afraid to chart new territory where that reference is unhelpful on issues of religious writing. Comprehensive yet easy-to-use, The Christian Writer’s Manual of Style, 4th Edition, is a go-to resource for Christian authors, pastors, teachers, copy writers, editors, proofreaders, publishing and ministry professionals, executive assistants, and students—anyone who writes or edits as a part of their work or study—and for grammar aficionados everywhere.
